Pokland CMS
The main goal at designing Pokland CMS was the creation of an easy-to-use, compact, multi-lingual and modular system, supporting the most current technologies.
The system is using css-based html templates for the site layout, and the different content components (like menus, header, footer, main content etc.) can be flexibly placed into the layout using the system's internal commands. The groups of directory entries are also named and labelled, can get common parameters within the group. The directory entries can be moved with drag and drop among the different groups. When moved, they still maintain the content assigned to that directory, so with moving the directory entry, complete sets of articles can be moved to other menu locations. A main entry can be dragged to a submenu entry and vice versa, giving a real flexibility in site structure design and maintenance.
Files can be uploaded using the classical http upload or through a java interface. The Java tool supports multiple file upload, the files can be dragged onto the tool, and there's no limit in the upload size, either.
In case of pictures the system automatically generates thumbnails, and in case of flash objects and flash videos a built-in preview generator tool makes the flash integration very simple to the website. After generating the flash previews, they can be used the same was as simple images. The articles have a modular structure, 13 different components can be used to build the content. The components' order can be changed any time with a simple drag. Images, flv movies or documents can be inserted from the galleries into the text with a double click, or even complete image folders can be inserted as galleries.
The articles and even the components can have different access rights, so it is very easy to create a login-dependable content, even restrict only parts of the article from unregistered users.Besides limiting the access of content, editing functions can be limited, too.
For the visitors' access control a separate control system is responsible. Here the visitors' rights can be restricted in 9 levels, the higher level user can see the contents (or even article components) accessible for lower level users, too. A special view level called unregistered users gives the possibility to create content for general visitors, which is not displayed for registered users. (like information on registration etc.)
The visitors' access list can be easily edited in the CMS administration system, even a list export function is available for the administrators.
There's a preview function when the sample mail is sent to a specified e-mail address only.
The CMS administration system has built-in support for handling e-mail address list, and also an easy-to-use function to register for newsletter from the website.
The Pokland CMS provides high level support for SEO. The title line can have a site-level pre- and postfix. For the keyword and description fields a global, a menu-level and an article level definition is also possible, giving possibility to fine tune seo codes on a very detailed level.
An automated keyword enhancement method can also be installed for higher seo efficiency.
